Please note that this week’s Mass will be celebrated at 12.00pm by Fr Deveikis at the Lithuanian Section of Rookwood Cemetery, near the monument, due to late notice of the unavailability of space at the premises of St Joachim’s, Lidcombe.
These are the dates/venues of upcoming Masses by Fr Deveikis for the remainder of the year:

UNSW Diversity Festival - 21-25 September - Kensington Campus, UNSW
Lithuanian Programme - Tuesday 22 September
1.30pm - UNSW Kensington Campus, Alumni Park West. Sūkurys dancers will be performing. Please come along to support them as well as Agna Kuzinkovaitė, the Lithuanian president of the UNSW European Society, which is hosting the Lithuanian segment of the Festival.
The annual UNSW Diversity Festival is a week-long celebration of the cultures, identities and communities that make up the university. The entire campus is transformed into a vibrant festival filled with performances, food, workshops, social events, exhibitions and activities hosted by student societies and university groups. It is a very high profile event with over 16,000 attendees last year.
Sunday 27 September - “5 už Lietuvą” / “Five for Lithuania” Global Run 🏃
10.00am - Gough Whitlam Park, Bayview Avenue, Earlwood.
An initiative of PLJS (World Lithuanian Youth Association), organised by the ALJS and ALBS. New Lithuanian Ambassador Donatas Butkus will attend and present medals.
This isn’t just a 5km run. It’s a great opportunity to meet other Lithuanians. Come along, bring a friend or your four-legged friend, have a chat, share some laughs and spend a fun afternoon together! The route follows the Cooks River; there is free parking nearby, a playground for kids, a basketball court, and Tempe rail station is nearby.

Saturday 03 October - Sydney Baltic Markets
10.00am - 3.00pm - Latvian House, 32 Parnell Street, Strathfield.
Organised by Sydney Latvian Society. Traditional Latvian food and cakes will be available from the cafe during the event. The new Lithuanian Ambassador, Donatas Butkus, will be attending at around 10.00am for the opening.
Note: As usual, in order to encourage Lithuanian participation, the Club will pay the hire fee for all Lithuanian stall holders. Please book your stall directly with the organisers (can be done online) and let them know you’re Lithuanian and that the Club will be paying the hire fees, they are aware of the arrangement.
