We are open for lunch and Mokyklėlė (Lithuanian language school) on the first Sunday of each month and for traditional commemorations and special events, as advertised. Restaurant bookings are recommended, in order to avoid disappointment. Everyone is welcome!

Fr Juozas Deveikis routinely comes from Melbourne on the 3rd Saturday of each month to celebrate Lithuanian mass for the Sydney community at 12.00pm at St Joachim’s Catholic Church in Lidcombe as well as to attend to the pastoral needs of the community, unless he is overseas when dates may vary. SATURDAY 27 SEPTEMBER - SYDNEY BALTIC MARKETS

Organised by Sydney Latvian Society. Available at the markets will be handmade crafts, including handmade Baltic inspired jewellery, Baltic art, traditional cakes and craft events for children. Traditional Latvian food will be available from the cafe during the event, as well as some pop-up performances.

Note: Again, in order to encourage Lithuanian participation, the Club will pay the hire fee for all Lithuanian stall holders.  Please book your stall directly with the organisers (can be done online) and let them know you’re Lithuanian and that the Club will be paying the hire fees - they are aware of the arrangement.

Saturday 29th November

  • 6.30 pm – 10.30 pm: Paintings Galleries, 1st Floor, Mitchell Building, State Library of NSW, 1 Shakespeare Place, Sydney

Entrance is via the historic Mitchell Building. A lift beside the front steps provides ground floor access for those less mobile. The building opens at 6.00 pm, with guests waiting in the Mitchell Vestibule until the event begins at 6.30 pm on the 1st floor. Restrooms are located in the vestibule. Both lifts and a marble staircase lead to the 1st floor.

Dinner will be catered by award-winning Laissez-Faire Caterers, exclusive to the Library. Alternate serves will be offered at each course, with vegan options available. Dietary or seating requests should be advised when booking. Seating is cabaret style, at round tables of 8.

Drinks are included in the ticket price, except spirits. Due to Library restrictions, red wine cannot be served; rosé will be offered instead. The bar closes at 10.00 pm.

The all-inclusive price is $145 per person. Children are not permitted at this event.

Dress Code: Black Tie Optional. For men, a tuxedo or dark suit and tie are ideal. For women, floor-length gowns, cocktail dresses, dressy pantsuits, or elegant separates are all appropriate. We simply ask that you wear your best.

A courtesy bus will run from the Sodyba via Bankstown Sports Club to the State Library and return.

We usually try to include community organisations’ AGM’s with regular Sunday lunches for convenience of members. However, this year it’s been particularly busy, so Club will hold its AGM on a "stand alone” date later in the year. Date will be advised in due course and Notices will be published well prior to meeting date.
